Project Independence
Independent trips for those brave enough to take the road less travelled with a group of like-minded friends.
The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.

Your school trip to Namibia awaits
Deep red sands, plunging canyons and a wild, windswept coastline – Namibia is the most Instagrammable country in Southern Africa. These jaw-dropping landscapes are home to the world’s highest dunes, oldest desert and ancient bushmen paintings that are thousands of years old.
Pile into an overland vehicle and set off across the sun-baked terrain. Delve into ancient San culture, meet tribal clans and discover German influences that are a legacy of the past – apple strudel anyone? The wildlife is incredible too. Keep your eyes wide open for endangered rhinos, and gaze up to see African hawk-eagles soaring overhead.
